Model Checker for Revit - Basics

The Model Checker for Revit makes it possible to automatically check the Revit model at any time according to defined rules - for example, whether there are duplicate elements in the same place or whether the desired parameters have been filled in.

The plug-in is available in Revit under BIM Interoperability Tools to find.

In the Setup an existing check rule can be loaded from the supplied library (e.g. Revit 2021 Best Practices):

The individual check rules can still be checked and deactivated if necessary:

Once the check rules have been configured, the check can be started under Run can be started. Several projects can also be selected and checked simultaneously (not just the currently open Revit project):

Depending on the file size and the previously selected check options, the check may take several minutes.

The subsequent test report shows whether and how many objects are faulty. A detailed view of the individual items can be opened individually. The magnifying glass next to a faulty object opens a view in the project.

The test report can then be exported in various formats, such as HTML or Excel file.

Under View Report the last test report can also be displayed later.
