Data Exchange Connector for Power BI

With the Data Exchange Connector for Power BI (Beta), the data from a Data Exchange can be analyzed in Power BI. (See also: What is Autodesk Data Exchange?)

The easiest way to create a Data Exchange is directly through Autodesk Docs from a Revit 3D view:

The Data Exchange is stored on Autodesk Docs and can be reviewed in the viewer:

To be able to load the Data Exchange in Power BI, it is necessary to install the Data Connector for Power BI from the Autodesk AppStore. After the installation, the data connector is available under Get Data as a data source:

The connector can be used to load the Data Exchange from the Autodesk Construction Cloud into Power BI:

The Autodesk Viewer is part of the Data Connector and can be imported into Power BI as a visual:

After the import, the viewer is displayed among the available visuals and can be added to the dashboard:

To connect the viewer to the Data Exchange , fill in the corresponding fields using drag & drop:

The standard visuals can be configured in the same way to visualize all available properties of the model:

Of course, the viewer and the other visuals remain connected, so that whenever a piece of data is selected in the diagram, the corresponding elements are also highlighted in the viewer:
