Until now, you've been able to create data exchange in the Autodesk Construction Cloud from Revit files, as well as directly from Revit, Inventor, Tekla, Rhino, etc. using the Data Exchange Connectors.
But something important has been missing so far - and that is IFC!
Since last week it is finally possible to create Data Exchanges from IFC files. All you have to do is join the public beta:
- If you are not yet a member of our beta community, please register first via this link
- Log in under feedback.autodesk.com and follow this linkto apply for access to IFC Beta
- You will then receive an automatic e-mail asking you to create a new ACC project and send the project ID through the MS Form. If you are unsure where to find the project ID, you will find it in the URL when you open the project:
After you have submitted the project ID, it can take up to one one working day until we have added the project to the beta - after that you can create data exchanges directly on Autodesk Docs for all newly uploaded IFCs:
