Project phases in Revit define the different time periods or construction phases of the project, such as demolition work, renovation or new construction, and present them clearly with the help of phase filters for views and component lists.<\/p>\n

However, phases are not only suitable for conversion projects, but also for creating construction phase plans as part of work preparation. Phases are often created for each calendar week so that the weekly plans can then be easily derived from the model.<\/p>\n

Phases in Revit<\/h6>\n

To display a specific time period of the project as a progression in Revit, each element must be assigned a corresponding phase in which the element was created.<\/p>\n

The demolition phase can also be defined for elements that are to be demolished and for temporary structures:<\/p>\n

With this information, it is now possible to define exactly which phases are displayed for each view - and how:<\/p>\n

All elements that are modeled in this view are automatically assigned to the active phase (here phase 01).\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Project phases - default settings<\/h6>\n

It is best to specify which and how many phases are to be edited at the start of a project - this allows the elements to be assigned to the correct phase directly during modeling by selecting it in the respective view. Accordingly, the desired views (e.g. floor plan, section, etc.) are duplicated and named in the project browser.<\/p>\n

The desired phases are then selected in the Manage - Phases<\/em> created.<\/p>\n

Phase created: <\/strong>If a new element is drawn in the project, it is assigned to the phase of the current view. Existing elements can of course be assigned to a different phase at this point if required.<\/p>\n

Phase aborted: w<\/strong>If an element in Revit canceled<\/em>this is also assigned to the phase of the current view. Alternatively, this property can also be set manually.<\/p>\n

Phases for linked models: w<\/strong>f a model with phases is linked to the existing project, phases of the existing project are automatically assigned to the phases of the linked model using the phase names.
