Wait a minute - who turned the clock? Somehow 2019 went by way too fast, the whole decade actually!<\/p>\n

In 2010, I had just got a great job as a project manager in an architectural office, had attended my first Revit training right at the start and was full of motivation to get started with BIM (yes, I've always been a bit of a computer geek... or as I like to call it, Digital Enthusiast<\/em> \ud83d\ude09 )
\nUnfortunately, this turned out to be more difficult in practice than expected - especially as a project manager, you tend to be busy with other, organizational tasks - and \"BIM managers\" or similar roles were still quite rare at the time. That was one of the reasons why I started this blog in 2012 - my first blog post was published on April 1, 2012: To BIM or not to BIM?<\/a><\/p>\n

A lot has happened since then, I have (more or less) regularly shared Revit and Dynamo tips with you and taken up other current topics.
\n\"\"Since I switched to Autodesk in 2015, where I also have our official Autodesk BIM Blog<\/a> I am realizing more and more often that I have to BIM me UP!<\/em> a bit - which is a shame, as this is where it all started. That's why I'm all the more pleased that I'll be getting reinforcements from 2020 - my \"little\" brother Arslan has been working with Revit for almost as long as I have and knows a few tricks that he'll be sharing with you in the next few posts!<\/p>\n

On this blog, I will focus more on overarching topics such as the data structures in the BIM model and the digital transformation of the construction industry itself. I also noticed with great interest that by far the most-read article in 2019 was BIM and classification<\/a> was - I will definitely be writing more about this in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
