You probably know that using formulas in the Revit family editor can add intelligence to your families - but do you know what you can do with formulas?
\nI stumbled across my \"cheat sheet\" of examples earlier, which I am happy to share with you:<\/p>\n

Mathematical calculations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Area = width * length
\nNumber of segments = length \/ segment length
\nc = sqrt(a*a+b*b) (sqrt = square root)<\/em><\/p>\n

Dependencies:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

if(number < 2, THEN condition, OTHER condition<\/em>)
\nnot(ParameterA) - boolean value, very useful for visibility parameters, returns true value for the parameter if ParameterA has a false value<\/p>\n

Rounds<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can also round all values directly in the family editor:<\/p>\n

round(x) <\/span>- rounds to the nearest integer without taking the sign into account.<\/p>\n

roundup(x)<\/span> - rounds to the next higher integer<\/p>\n

rounddown(x)<\/span> - rounds to the next lower integer<\/p>\n
