Own Revit icons

Revit 2021 has been available since yesterday - but if, like me, you always have 2-3 Revit versions installed and then regularly switch between the German and English versions, then you know how easy it is to start the "wrong" Revit! 😉

There have been various instructions and websites where you can download Revit icons with dates for a while now, but I never really liked them and preferred to make my own - which I have just finally done! And I thought of you and that I could leave a sign of life and a little Easter present in the form of icons / instructions here just before Easter.

Here you can My icons for Revit 2019-2022 download, both original and bw/red, which I use for the English version.

To activate the icons, you can simply use desktop shortcuts or Windows Start like I do (the latter also controls the appearance in the taskbar):

If you want to create your own icons: you can find the original icon here C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021\Revit.ico

Unfortunately, the .ico format cannot usually be opened directly by image editing programs, but you can easily convert it to e.g. .PNG format using a web service - I have used this here: https://www.aconvert.com/de/image/

You can then edit the PNG file as normal and convert it back to .ico format using the same website

Happy Easter and stay healthy! 🙂

  1. Hello,

Revit 22 is now available and I really like your icons.
Is it also possible to provide an icon for Revit 22?

    Greetings
